South Korea Base Oil Exports Fall

South Korea exported 19% less base oil at a 32% drop in reported value in April, according to data released earlier this week by a government agency.

Profits Up for Yushiro, KH Neochem

Yushiro Chemical reported increased fiscal-year net profit and sales for the quarter ended March 31, while specialty chemical producer KH Neochem posted higher operating profit and sales revenue for its performance materials segment for the quarter ended March 31, citing higher selling prices.

Sales of motorcycles and scooters in five Southeast Asia countries – Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand – declined 11% to 918,902 in March, compared to 1 million in the same month last year, according to Asean Automotive Federation data.
